由于螺栓副干摩擦过大，容易使螺纹牙因过热而损不（烂牙）或烧死在一起，柴油机修理时无法拆卸缸盖螺栓和气缸体主轴承盖螺栓、连杆螺栓。因此，平板运输车在发动机装配时，在缸盖螺栓、气缸体主轴承盖螺栓、连杆螺栓螺纹牙上蘸上润滑油，使螺栓与螺纹孔的螺纹上形成一层润滑油膜。既减少了装配螺栓时螺纹副上的摩擦损失，保证缸盖与平板运输车气缸体、主轴承盖、连杆盖的紧固。

活塞在气缸的不同位置，通入压缩空气，根据漏气声的变化，可以判断气缸不同位置的磨损程度。当活塞在上止点漏气声较大，说明气缸上部磨损严重，表明平板运输车发动机长期在较低温度或爆震条件下工作；若活塞在中部漏气声很大，说明气缸中部磨损严重，表明空气滤清器质量不好或空气中含尘量较高，引起缸套的磨料磨损；若下部漏气严重，说明机油质量和数量为符合要求。
